Gabrielle Union was a little ticked off at the the TSA on Wednesday after one "required a hair patdown" because her weave set off the body scanner at an airport security checkpoint!

The Think Like A Man actress angrily tweeted her experience, writing:

"Ma weave got "flagged" by the bodyscan at security. TSA required a hair patdown. No lie...they coulda just asked if it was the temple hair."

"If human hair & thread sets off the bodyscanner...a lot of folks jus ended up on the "watch list"...its a weave not terrorism."

She was particularly surprised to have issues because the TSA agent who initiated the invasive security check "was a black female."

Beyond that, you'd think the agent would have recognized Gabrielle from one of the MANY television shows and movies listed on her extensive resume, including 10 Things I Hate About You, Bring It On, and Bad Boys II!

Airport security eventually figured out that Gabrielle wasn't a terrorist and the actress joked:

"Bout to take off...hopefully my weave doesn't cause turbulence...its clearly very powerful."

LOLz!

We're sorry to hear Mz. Union had to deal with this annoying hassle, but at the end of the day, the TSA agent was only doing her job!

If he had taken the deal, he would have only gotten five years in prison for the crime, half the sentence he is facing now if a guilty verdict is brought down on him.

Wow. He better have a real sound defense against these charges. Otherwise, those beautiful girls of his are going to grow up without him -- and that would be really sad.

Today I have to send out HUGE Birthday Lurve to my beautiful home State of Michigan because today is it’s 175th birthday. Michigan became the 26th State back in 1837 after a silly skirmish with Ohio over land rights and today is celebrating it’s Dodransbicentennial. Cool, eh? Honestly, I had no idea that January 26 was Michigan‘s birthday despite my overachievement in Michigan Studies back in grade school. Nonetheless, I am very happy that I am able to BE in Michigan for the big day :D

Lessee … if memory serves from my Michigan Studies class … the State stone is the Petoskey stone … the State bird is the Robin and the State motto is “If you seek a pleasant peninsula, look about you” (the State is made up of a lower peninsula that looks like a mitten and an upper peninsula that looks like a rabbit jumping over the mitten). Other thrilling facts: Michigan is known as The Wolverine State, the State flower is the Apple Blossom and Michigan is home to the 5 Great Lakes — Superior, Michigan, Ontario, Huron and Eerie (collectively, they make up the highest concentration of fresh water in the world). Um, I could go on and on but you get the gist … Michigan is a pretty freakin’ cool place. I hope you’ll join me in sending 175 years worth of Birthday Lurve to Michigan today!

Last night, Sarah, Mark, David and I took my parents out for dinner at Andiamo’s in Dearborn, MI to celebrate my Dad’s birthday. While he’s not quite as old as Michigan itself … he’s gettin’ up there:

Both of my parent’s were really surprised when I showed up on their doorstep. My mom claims I almost gave her a heart attack … WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS GOING FOR! Actually, no, I didn’t want to scare them … but I am glad that they were both surprised. I bundled them up in the car and took them to our impromptu dinner party. We had a great night together.

Sadly, David had to fly back to LA today to take care of some biz so I’ll be here in Detroit for the rest of the week solo … as much as I’ll miss David, I will get some extra alonetime with my BFF Sarah. We’re planning on seeing The Artist tonight so … it should be fun.

Alec Baldwin spoke candidly to Piers Morgan this week on CNN about the whole American Airlines incident..he laughs about it, apologizes, and says that he would only fly American Airlines again if they give everyone a device to play Words With Friends..watch the clip below and see what you think.

I don’t know, I like Alec Baldwin… he has had his troubles, but this week on CNN his interview is great. He is funny, honest, and a little bit tongue in cheek. Piers Morgan has a good time quizzing him about the AA incident, and he feels that he was “singled out” by a very “tough” air steward as other passengers were tweeting on their phones as he was being kicked off. Still, he apologizes for the trouble and inconvenience he might have caused to other passengers on the flight and gives some more insight into the incident explaining that in the past they had been more lenient with First Class passengers before take-off, and that he has been flying with them exclusively for 20 years.

What has he learnt? To turn his phone off as soon as you get on the plane. Yes, Alec, good advice :)
