Yesterday was a gloriously warm, sunny and RAINFREE day here in LA and David and I made the most of it. Since this is the first year we are spending Xmas together (as opposed to with our families on opposite ends of the country), we decided to keep things really quiet for just the two of us. We started out the day with an Xmas Eve brunch of Aussie Cheese Fries from Outback Steakhouse … and the day just got better from there.
After we stuffed our faces with cheesy deliciousness at Outback, we went for a walk together to enjoy the beautiful weather. After we came home to relax for a bit, we made our way to La Boheme Cafe in West Hollywood, CA for a lovely Xmas Eve dinner together. Then we came home to watch a few Xmas specials on TV … naturally, A Charlie Brown Christmas was top on our list. We fell asleep watching White Christmas and, well, that was our night. Altho it sounds like any of our regular nights together, this one was really special … in fact, any night that David and I get to spend together is a special night. These are really cute photos, y’all. I am just amazed at how big both Sean P. and JJ keep growing! And, in all honesty, I must give some credit to their father K-Fed. For the most part, my beef with the man has been over the way he has continued to leech off of his famous and very wealthy ex-wife but for the better part of the last year, he has remained off the radar and seems to have finally settled into a quiet life of fatherhood. Even his relationship with Victoria Prince seems to be stable and happy and, well, I can’t really think of a bad thing to say about either of them. While I have never been an K-Fed fan, there have been glimmers of hope that the guy might turn out to be a decent person … for some time now, it appears that the guy has finally grown his ass up. While it’s unfortunate that the children have to be shuttled back and forth between their parents, I understand the relationship that Britney and Kevin share is one that is friendly enough so that their children never get caught in the middle of any drama. Scottish singer Shirley Manson showed off her new husband for the first time yesterday. Manson appeared alongside US record producer Billy Bush in Paisley to talk to students at the University of the West of Scotland. In May, she told TV host Craig Ferguson that she had wed an American at a secret ceremony in Las Vegas, but until yesterday she been coy about revealing her new spouse’s identity. Grammy-nominated Bush has worked with bands including Green Day, Limp Bizkit, Korn and Muse. Edinburgh-born Manson, 44, who was previously married to sculptor Eddie Farrell, also confirmed she was recording a new album with her band Garbage. “I’m working on a record right now with the band. We’ve recorded quite a lot but it’s difficult to quantify,” she said. “It’s the first one in a long time. I took about five years off. I’d like to do some touring next year.” She did not elaborate on the musical direction of the new album or when it would be released. “We’re just winging it right now,” she said. Rumours of a new release had been circulating since Manson hinted in February that she had been spending time in a recording studio. The couple were in Paisley to give career advice to commercial music students. The secret of success, Manson revealed, was for artists to talk through their disagreements – and share the proceeds. “When you get into a band, whether you are – the main writer or whatever – split the money equal ways. Then you will have a happy band. They are doing the same work as you.” Bush warned students that the road to musical success was long and hard. He said: “There’s two things you have to accept in this industry. One is poverty and the other is failure. There’s a huge element of failure.”
Hot damn! This is great news. I was encouraged by the news last February that Garbage was back in the recording studio … but there had been nary a peep from them since so I was starting to lose hope that a new album was coming. I am SO thrilled to learn that not only can we expect a new album but a tour as well. And now that we know who Shirley got married to, I think we can send the happy couple all our love and congrats one more time. Shirley Manson may not give us news all the time but when she does, it’s the best news ever. Wee! Any Garbage fans out there? Who’s excited for a new album?!

Probably one of the most anticipated weddings of the year has finally happened!
"[Russell and Katy] were pronounced Mr. and Mrs. Brand on Saturday, October 23. The very private and spiritual ceremony, attended by the couples' closest family and friends was performed by a Christian minister and longtime friend of the Hudson Family. The backdrop was the inspirational and majestic countryside of Northern India."
The ceremony was said to be extravagant as two elephants named Laxmi and Mala walked down the couple's red carpet during the wedding procession, known as the "bharat." Traditional Rajasthani folk musicians performed using Indian instruments, including the sitar, santoor, the tabla, and kettle drums.
The couple also treated their guests to many live performances, shopping trips, and even a safari on days leading up to the wedding.
Their wedding sounds so exotic and absolutely lovely! Congrats to the newlyweds!

Oh Warner Bros., you have outdone yourself yet again. Today we're greeted with eight new "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1" TV spots that you've probably started to see on the small screen already. Surprisingly enough, there is new stuff to see from the film, even if it's only those little teases of dialogue we didn't realize we were missing so much from the full-length trailers until now. In other words, I'm telling you they did include that hilarious Fleur Delacour line from the seven Potters chapter.
Though there are eight TV spots in all, there were five in particular that really caught our eye. The other three tended to rehash footage we've already seen, but since we're nice, we've included all eight of them below.
The first two videos that we love -- "Only Hope" (above) and "Best Hope We Have" (below) -- feature the seven Potters heavily, and that's something we couldn't be happier about. Mad Eye Moody shows the bunch of Harry's friends a "particular brew," aka the Polyjuice potion, and then we get to see all of them after the transformation. Our favorite? Daniel Radcliffe in a bra, speaking as Fleur saying, "Look away, I'm hideous." "Best Hope" follows a familiar set-up, but this time we get to hear the twins Fred and George Weasley, disguised as Harry Potter, state, "Wow, we're identical." And this is why we love them. Plus both TV spots have a cute little Dobby moment at the end.
"Hang On" has a lot of the chase footage from early in the film that we've seen in the previous trailers, but it has two more Fred (or is it George?) moments that we couldn't resist adding to our list. First, they're "just trying to defuse the tension" and later on they defuse a different kind of tension when they're in the kitchen while Harry and Ginny share a goodbye kiss. At least it wasn't Ron, though.
There are only two things we really needed to see in "Nowhere Left" that had us sold: Snape and Dementors. The focus of this spot in on how the Death Eaters have infliltrated the Ministry of Magic, but it also has the brilliant juxtaposition of Ron asking "Is there no one we can trust?" and then cutting to an image of Snape. Hmm, wonder what conflict that's implying.
And then there's the similarly titled "Nowhere To Hide" that ends with a bang -- literally. After all that buildup to Ron destroying the locket Horcrux that we've seen in the other trailers, now when Harry yells, "Ron, kill it!" we actually get to see the explosion of darkness that results when they destroy a piece of Voldemort's soul!

Word that Tom Bosley passed away at the age of 83 hit Twitter-Wood this afternoon. TV's father from "Happy Days," Father Dowling of "Father Dowling Mysteries" and the voice of David the Gnome, Bosley showed up in the tweets of Neil Patrick Harris, James Gunn and Michael McKean today.
In other posting, the feed got hit with a rush of photos in the last 24 hours.
